Inspiration

It's crazy to think that in this life there is so much going on and some of the smallest things can inspire us all to do better. I personally enjoy art and music. Both of which have given me inspiration and motivation to move forward. At this point the only thing that changed is my surrounding. I went from my small home in Eagle Mountain, Utah to a small hotel in Irvine, California and all of a sudden my mind is full of ideas, thoughts, concepts and much more. Make you wonder when such a small change can create so much inspiration if your located in the wrong place. We all know that things happen for a reason and maybe the inspiration is a sign that a move to some place new and different is in order. As Theodore Roosevelt put it best, "“It is only through labor and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things.” Maybe, just maybe its time to be courageous, step out of the comfort zone and go for it. You know shake things up a bit and get out in the world. Sometimes the one thing that is most constant in our lives is also the thing that doesn't happen enough. That thing is change. I found that my new found inspiration is from change. A change in surrounding, change in routine, and a few other changes have given life a new light. So maybe we all need to evaluate whats going on and change things up. As Stephen Sondheim said, "“I chose and my world was shaken. So what? The choice may have been mistaken; the choosing was not. You have to move on.” That said, we should all move on, make a move however big or small and find the inspiration that keeps us all going. Make the choice and stick to it even if that choice seems like a mistake at first.

Memory

So I have noticed that sometimes you get lost in the things that don't matter. By doing so it seems one starts to become forgetful and memory loss becomes another part of an endless cycle. The cycle that many people want to break including myself. Why do we focus on cars, houses, music, TV, movies, and endless other things that just don't. Things that we will remember for a long time, but things that will only make our memories fade. These things take us away from the life experience that we want to do and remember most. Like spending time with our families, close friends, traveling and educating ourselves. So where am I going with this thought you ask? I'm getting at the idea that we need to do what is going to build us as a human being. Things that will define us, strengthen our memory, and mean something more than not being bored.
